For many Africans studying abroad is a dream that inspires excitement and drives academic ambition, but which can be difficult to finance. Education is very expensive in any part of the world outside Africa, an expense which most prospective African students and their families can rarely afford.  In addition to tuition and fees, students have to contend with high cost of living in the host countries. Financial aid is limited and difficult to find, particularly for Africans who must often compete with nationals and other more favored foreign students for the same limited funds. For instance, only 19% of all foreign undergraduate students and 53% of all foreign graduate students in the U.S. finance their education through scholarships and other financial aid sources. You should note that the percentages for African students in each group are much lower.

GlobeAfrica has researched and collected hundreds of study-abroad scholarships and other forms of financial aid in the major industrialized countries either specifically earmarked for Africans, or for which Africans are also qualified.  The information we provide include best colleges and universities for your chosen field of study in those countries, admission procedures and application processing (online where possible), visa requirements, living advice and work permit policies

Because the funding sources we have gathered in one database are limited and the competition for them extremely keen, GlobeAfrica restricts access to such information to registered members only.  Sign up now for access.
